This is Maggie! She is a super sweet, affectionate 2 year old purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd mix. She came to us with her 5 beautiful Aussie/Boxer mix puppies (who have been adopted). She wandered up to a family's home in southern Missouri with her very young puppies. They provided food, water and shelter for them, but could not take care of them for very long. Upon their arrival at MARS, they were covered with ticks and fleas. Our team spent hours removing the ticks, gave them all a bath, and oral flea/tick medication. Maggie is a gentle and loving dog, who loves to be rubbed. Maggie is FANTASTIC with children, and wonderful with other dogs! She walks very well on a leash, and is very respectful. She appears to know the command "sit", but not much else. She is crate trained, and is house trained when let out on a schedule. She is a fast learner, and eager to please. Because she is gentle and affectionate, she would make a great addition to any family. We are currently accepting online adoption applications for her.
