Meet Penelope!
Piper and Penelope are two adorable, sweet and spunky Havanese mix puppies. They were transferred to us from an animal shelter in Arkansas so we can help them find loving homes! We do not know what they are mixed with, but based on their petite size, we are guessing their maturity weight at around 25lbs. They love to be held and give kisses!
Penelope would make a wonderful addition to any family, but there is something extra special about her- she is partially blind in one eye due to an eye ulcer, but it does not hinder her ability to get around and play.

Penelope has had a rough start in life- She did experience some indigestion due to a bacterial infection, so she was started on medication for it, which will be finished by the event on Saturday. Unfortunately, due to the upset stomach, she then had a bowel prolapse, which is not common, but is caused by straining when having loose stool (similar to hemorrhoids in people). This resulted in an emergency surgery appointment Saturday morning to correct it. Because the surgery required her to be put under sedation, and the incision was in the same location for a spay surgery, she was spayed at the same time. Since surgery, she has done very well, and is ready to find a loving home.
